What Our Customers Are Barking About
Seems to be helping
Does job
I like using this supplement for my senior rescue pup who has acid reflux. Slippery Elm helps his digestive system function better.
The product arrived decently quickly and in good condition. I am currently about half way through the bottle. My only complaint is that at this half-way mark, I’ve started spilling the slippery elm out of the dropper. It could be user error or the dropper could be worn out. Either way, it’s not a huge deal.
This product and brand are a great way to keep your dogs feeling their best with natural supplements!!
I really love these drops for my 2 dogs. They actually get all excited to receive them. They seem to go to the bathroom better than before. They like the taste too.
My dog has EPI and that tends to make her gut and stomach much more sensitive. Occasionally she will have a few days of tummy upset and I use slippery elm to calm her stomach down. Slippery elm is kind of a challenge because it coats the stomach and that then prevents things like medication being absorbed, so I'm always looking for easy ways to dispense and keep track of slippery elm so that I can give it to my dog at times that don't interfere with all the medication she takes.
I got this slippery elm so that it would be easier to administer than scoops of powder -- which tend to get messy and require a lot of mixing into food.
The biggest challenge I'm having with this slippery elm is that the dosage is hard to figure out based on the directions. There is a scale showing how many mL to give for the weight of the dog, and there's another scale that says give one drop per 2 lbs of body weight, and there's 16.67 mg of slippery elm per drop (in parentheses it says 0.05mL, I presume per drop?) but it doesn't state how many mL or drops are in the dropper. It would be so much more helpful to have the average volume of the dropper indicated since that is the dispensing unit. Because I guess of the glycerin in the liquid, the drops are long and sinewy and I can't always tell when a drop has finished so I get the counting off. Really frustrating.
But the liquid sure smells like slippery elm, so I think it's the real deal.
